ABOUT MARY
I discovered my passion for physical therapy after overcoming a debilitating shoulder injury in my twenties. Inspired by my own recovery, I left my graduate program in Statistics to pursue a career in Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. Pilates became a pivotal part of my journey when traditional methods fell short in treating a subsequent back injury during PT school. Certified by the Pilates Method Alliance in 2003, I integrated Pilates into my practice and witnessed profound improvements in my patients' recovery. After earning my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010, I founded a Pilates studio in Huntsville focusing on injury recovery and chronic conditions. Now based in Chattanooga, I continue to deepen my expertise as a Polestar Pilates Rehab Practitioner, dedicated to helping others achieve lasting health and wellness.

Tricia Shadix
A lover of group fitness of all types, Tricia first found Pilates during the pandemic when most gyms were closed. Through private sessions, she fell in love with classical Pilates and the way it elevated her mind-body connection. She has continued her practice through group classes since moving to Chattanooga in 2022 and absolutely adores the community she has found. She is currently completing her National Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Reform Fitness & Therapy in Ooltewah and is excited to blend her love of classical movement with a contemporary twist.
“Pilates has brought so much positivity and such a rich sense of community to my life that I could have never anticipated. I am grateful to the instructors who have mentored me and the clients who have inspired me. It truly feels like a family.” When not in the studio you can find Tricia with her three yorkies or spending time with family.
