What are the requirements for completing the Pilates Mat Teacher Training program?
To become a certified Pilates Mat instructor through our program, you'll need to complete the following:
Pre-course work: Read "Anatomy of Movement" by Blandine Calais-Germain (10 hours)
Weekend Modules: Attend two weekend modules at The Pilates Center of Ooltewah (32 hours total)
Practical Experience: Complete 25 personal mat sessions, 15 observation hours, and 35 student teaching hours at an approved studio
Final Exam: Pass a final written and practical exam (2 hours)
Total program hours: 119
Upon fulfillment of all Pilates Workshop Mat Instructor requirements, students will receive a certificate of completion and be able to register to sit for the National Pilates Certification Program exam to receive the credentials NPCP-PMC.
What Pilates Mat repertoire will I learn?
Our program covers the full Classical Pilates Mat repertoire, incorporating contemporary insights from movement science and biomechanics. You'll gain the knowledge and confidence to adapt exercises and create safe, effective programs for any client.
What is the tuition for the Pilates Mat Teacher Training program?
The total tuition for the program is $1100.
- $400 deposit
- $700 (remaining balance) due 10 days before the program starts.
Tuition includes:
- The Pilates Workshop Mat Manuals 1 & 2
- Final written exam
- 1-hour private session with Dr. Mary Gregory Stocker, MSPT, DPT, NCPT, CSCS

What is the refund policy?
- Cancellations 10+ days before the start date: Full refund
- Cancellations within 72 hours of the start date: 50% refund
- Cancellations within 72 hours of the start date: No refund
